Narrative coaching at a glance

Surely you know this? When things suddenly change, there are often overlapping stories, strategies and programs and this causes chaos. It gets hectic and loud. What is missing here is a common, meaningful narrative that is strategically anchored.

One that offers clarity and orientation and has the strength to carry transformation.
Change cannot be managed like a project plan, because it affects us on a much deeper emotional level:
It touches our familiar roles, our self-image, and our core beliefs.

This is where narrative coaching comes in.
Without a clear sense of meaning, many change processes lose their direction and momentum.
They drain energy, create resistance, and what once began as a big idea often ends in frustration.

Curious Altitudes accompanies people, teams and organizations in the midst of disruption. What is really happening here right now? What are we telling ourselves about it? Who are we and what really guides us?

We engage in purposeful sensemaking, both individually and in teams, to strengthen clarity, enable action, and build genuine connection.

Narrative coaching connects the inner and the outer and works at depth.
It is reflection with structure, clarity, and a forward-looking sense of meaning.

Narrative coaching for individuals

For people and managers in transition

You have responsibility, are undergoing change or want to realign yourself?
In narrative coaching, we work on your inner position and your story that carries you forward, your compass. We deepen your role patterns in the present and the future.

Typical topics include:
How do I reposition myself in times of change?
Who am I when everything around me is shifting?
What grounds me in leadership – professionally, emotionally, and as a human being?
How do I find clarity and direction within my roles and the challenges I face in my organization and in life?

How it works:

We start with a free initial consultation. If it suits you, five sessions of 60 minutes each follow flexibly, personally, at a pace that suits you. In between, there are small impulses or exercises that work in everyday life. We work on what is specifically on your mind: Role clarity, self-leadership, pressure to make decisions, ambivalence, identity in transition. After the first five hours, we reflect on where our journey is taking us. I have accompanied many of my coachees for a long time, some through a changing phase of their lives.

For teams and organizations

Structure in dynamics. Clarity in change. Culture that supports.

A sense-making process is needed to translate strategies into clear narratives when strategies cause internal question marks and roles change. Uncertainty and fear often prevent real buy-in. Resistance arises. This is where narrative coaching comes in: We work with teams functionally or cross-functionally on role clarity in the area of tension between growth aspirations, on dealing with tensions and on what is in the room but rarely named. This creates the prerequisite for a meaningful narrative that can be internalized and supported in the organization, at team level and by the individual. It helps management teams to recognize open resistance at an early stage and actively address it.

Common focus areas are narrative anchoring of strategy, team development during transformation, and role clarity in times of change.
Navigating through change processes with orientation and depth.

Individually adapted formats: e.g. sensemaking-accompanied team coaching, narrative audits with in-depth interviews, support over 3 to 6 months with regular check-ins.

I accompany teams, the management level or change managers in the company.

This is how the collaboration works:

We start with a non-binding discussion to get an initial feel for the situation and your challenges. We then clarify the objective together: What is it really about? What do you want to achieve through narrative coaching? As soon as there is clarity, we define a suitable format - flexible, system-compatible and with a central contact person for coordination and implementation. The offer is individual, tailored to your organization with depth, structure and room for development.

New narratives for society & the public

Several pedestrians walk across a zebra-striped crosswalk on a sunny day, some with umbrellas and bags.

What we sometimes don't say is what shapes us the most.

Change is everywhere, but what really affects us often remains unspoken: the uncertainty, the anxiety, the tensions between stance and action.

As an executive coach, brand strategist and founder of Curious Altitudes, I want to open up spaces where people can talk about exactly that: about turning points, zigzag moments, about what's going on under the surface.

I speak about new narratives in leadership, about looking ahead, and about building resilience through change.

Examples:

  • Radical honesty as a leadership quality

  • ZigZag instead of linear - a new way of dealing with turning points

  • Future readiness needs narratives, not just tools

Whether in lectures, panels or texts: I bring language into spaces that are not about positioning, but about real debate about change.

What narrative coaching does

Whether as an individual, in a team or as a driving force: we develop a clear narrative about change, about how change shapes your story of identity, transformation and future.

You can embody this narrative coherently and contribute it effectively. You gain inner clarity - as an organization, as a manager or as a person undergoing change. This clarity also creates collective orientation.

Stories and strong narratives move us because they connect, give meaning and activate. You find a language for what has previously remained unspoken.

This gives you perspective and security in the change process. You systematically reflect on what is working beneath the surface and link psychodynamic patterns with a clear focus on the future.
